Summer is coming to an end and although good-byes are bittersweet, I will say that one good-bye I will NOT be saying is to my Madewell White Jeans.  Yes, yes, I know the saying.  But, I love these jeans and the way they fit me so I will continue to transition them right on to the cooler season.

GASP.

(Or maybe you’re way ahead of me on this and have been doing it for years….if so, let’s be friends!)

Also – I wanted to throw in this post that there are pieces you will see ON REPEAT (time after time – I love that song; anyone else?) because they are TRANSITION pieces that can be worn several different ways and will last YEARS – through trends and seasons and baby-having months.  (Case in point – below is a photo of me while I was pregnant with Marshall in September 2015 wearing my same green utility vest…AND how tiny was Mackenzie!!! – cue tears.)

With white jeans – you need to think NEUTRAL accessories, such as cognac booties and belt (I’ve worn the same two things in every photo so you can visualize what you have in your current closet.) Keep it simple – as the white jeans become a part of the canvas to the other pieces.  Think of them as your foundation that you are building on!

WHITE ON WHITE

I jumped WAY out of my comfort zone with this one and paired a white henley thermal ($8) with white jeans.  WHOA – WHO IS THIS? I paired it with a leopard scarf to add a bit of “fall” undertone.   I probably will add a denim jacket to this look just for my own comfort – but I actually liked the overall look.

Chambray goes with Everything!

If you haven’t found yourself a good chambray shirt – do it, please!  (This weekend is a good time with all the sales).  Choose a classic color that you like and I promise you will rotate it so often that it will be well-worth it! I love how simply adding the cognac belt adds warmth to this outfit! For extra dimension – add a cami underneath and leave it unbuttoned!

FLANNEL, PLEASE!

I broke down and got the black & white version of this shirt ($14 walmart.com – found in stores only) from my previous post, because it simply was too good of a deal not to.  And I think this was my FAVORITE look of all.  I love the simplicity and comfort of the look and it’s just so cute!  I may add a hunter green bag with it and make it my FALL momiform.

Chunky Sweaters and Denim

I scooped up this sweater at Loft during their crazy clearance sale and have worn it several times already – it’s sleeveless so it’s a great transition piece.  Plus – it’s still so warm here that I need to still BREATHE.

Catch-up and Mustard

Do you like my puns?  Well, even if you don’t – you will love this look!  What could be better than a ruffle fall-hue top  (Under $19!) with crisp white?  Nothing!  Enough said!

Camel, Black, and White

This is just classic. Pair it with black riding boots and you have a a whole equestrian look going on. So soft and cozy, too! My exact vest is no longer available, but this one is a close second and I love the pockets!

THE Vest …with Stripes

Of course, I couldn’t NOT have my vest among all the outfits.  I paired it with a simple black and white stripe t-shirt, but you could really wear any color with any sleeve length that’s comfortable.  If you haven’t found a vest that you love yet, I saw this one the other day and was in love!

There you have it, my loves!  All the ways I plan to carry my white skinny jeans through the next few months!  How do you plan to rock yours?  Drop me a comment!
