I cannot believe that just 7 months ago I wrote my first blog post here in my little space. It seems like it’s flown by! I know one thing you all enjoy a ton are my Amazon finds and I love doing them for you! I appreciate when you purchase through my links, too, as I get a small commission from Amazon so you’re keeping us both in business! 🙂
I also cannot believe that we are discussing holiday gift guides and outfit ideas. I feel like just yesterday I was raving about that amazing crochet bathing suit! (Don’t worry – I will be rocking that next summer, too.) But here we are….and I am LOVING my finds so far!
Chunky-knit off-the-shoulder sweater ($23.99 – not always on PRIME, but most times it is)
Size UP, this is a medium! Runs small, but it’s so soft and fits so well. Costs way less than those boutique sweaters, but definitely great quality! And the color is PERFECT for Thanksgiving. Pair it with jeans, slacks, or even a cute denim skirt and boots! I wore a bralette under mine, but you could do a cami or just a strapless bra. I wore it to Bunco night with my neighbors AND our Friendsgiving dinner and everyone loved it!
ColorBlock Cardi – Fall colors ($28.99)
I was pleasantly suprised by the weight of this sweater. It’s definitely a warmer knit overcoat style and very similar to the Madewell-JCrew versions. I loved the cut of it; the only thing is that the pockets laid weird so I felt “wider” than I really am. Maybe it was just my sweater. (I ordered a size small) I think this would make a great gift, too!
Black Sequin Blazer ($24.99)
I love a good, fun blazer and this one didn’t disappoint. It was “cheapy” looking and covered my backside perfectly. My only complaint was that it runs small. I ordered a Medium and could’ve done a Large for a bit more “drapey” look.
Lace Cocktail Dress ($19.99) I was SO pleased with this dress. It rivals the $160 dress I wore back in April to a wedding. Seriously – it runs true to size and is absolutely beautiful on. With almost 600 positive reviews I say grab a couple colors of this dress to have for the next cocktail-work-wedding event you have! I snagged the maroon/red for the holidays but may snag the black just to have.
Velvet Scrunchie 6-Pack (under $5)
I ordered these on a whim and Oh My Goodness….where have they been all my life? They hold my hair up well, the colors are perfect, and they make a top knot somewhat cuter! (which is how I throw my hair up almost everyday). Honestly, these would make a great stocking stuffer for all the women or girls in your life!
Now….for some Holiday Outfit Inspiration! (Some of these I haven’t gotten in as of post time, but I usually always share things as they arrive on my Instagram Stories – if you haven’t followed me there, DO IT!)
Express Velvet Sweetheart Strapless Jumpsuit ($88 – currently 40% off) I love jumpsuits, but they don’t always love me. But for the price and the fact that I saw so many positive reviews, I thought “I’ll chance it.” OH, ya’ll. It’s so good. Doesn’t require a bra; has a bit of stretch where you need it; perfect for a heel and a statement necklace OR a fun jacket/coat or scarf….I see this being a holiday outfit staple for years to come. It also comes in this gorgeous berry color. GET ONE!
Express Sequin Mini Skirt ($40.99 with 40% off in cart)
I ordered this after wanting it for months….I styled it with a basic black long-sleeved bodysuit, but honestly, it would look so good with a fur jacket or even a bright jewel-toned sweater. It has a good bit of stretch so you may need to size down if you are in between sizes. I stuck with a Small because I didn’t want it to be super short.
Target Velvet Midi Skirt ($27.99)
I saw this in the store, snapped a pic, and then the next day saw it all over my feed. So, I ordered it! I’m a little nervous about the length. One of my favorite bloggers – Erin, from CottonStem, styled it beautifully – but she’s 5’9 and I’m barely 5’4. So stay tuned! But I love the yellow color and how rich and gorgeous this would be paired with winter white or even a gorgeous teal or emerald blouse. HELLO HOLIDAY!
Target Satin Midi Skirt $27.99
Same story with this one. I love the color of the burgandy one, but the blue and the black are so classic and stunning!
Old Navy Satin Ruffle Blouse ($25.00) Comes in black, green, and light pink. I ordered the green one because that’s my favorite color and I wanted it to go with that yellow skirt! How pretty is the little dainty ruffle, though!
Leopard Print Skinny Knit Pants ($25.00) I just loved these, too. Paired with the above top or a tunic length sweater and booties would be perfect!
Faux Fur Statement Jacket ($99 – get 15% off when you order thru the REVOLVE app!) I saw this on another blog I follow and HAD to have it. I haven’t had time to style it and snap a photo, but this one is SO high quality and worth every penny when I think of all the ways I can wear it! If you are looking for an investment statement piece for your closet for winter – I highly recommend this one!
And so my loves, that will do it for me as I don’t get to all that many holiday events besides family ones these days. I will update this piece with photos once I get the items in! So stay tuned and as always, thank you for following along! What’s your favorite items from this post? Drop me a comment!
