    “If you’re sad, add more lipstick and ATTACK.” ~ Coco Chanel. My go-to motto. In fact, this last year I saw most women forgo 💄 lipstick because of wearing masks. Well SCREW THAT! I’ve been wearing #lipsense for almost four years now and it’s the only lip color that has lasted thru workouts, tears, kisses, and mask mandates! 🙌🏼 Have you ever tried it? With a huge variety of colors and glosses you can rock the PERFECT shade that makes you feel unstoppable. 💃🏻 Oh and another thing to celebrate.... #mississippi lifted the mask mandate yesterday. Most of us are being cautious and still wearing them indoors, but I cannot tell you how free I felt yesterday. How are things where you are?     🤔Girl Talk: have you ever been somewhere and ou 🤔Girl Talk: have you ever been somewhere and out of the corner of your eye you spot a woman who looks like she’s been ripped straight out of an Insta-ad? Tall, thin, tanned (but not too tanned!) ... perfectly bouncy hair, great smile, glowing skin... she is wearing the coolest “thrown-together” look that seems to never happen for you (even though you have bought the same outfit many times!) And you keep watching her and thinking “Wow....”.... and not in a “Hubba-Hubba” way, but in a “God, why can’t I look that effortless? Why can’t I appear that put together? Why can’t I have it all figured out?” And you try to remember that no one has it all figured out, but for the life of you, seeing her in all of her #perfectglory makes you feel completely less than. So you start picking apart yourself. Looking at the flaws. The bumps, the curves, the scars. And then it goes below the surface and you start selling yourself short of everything. Regrets about the past, all the shoulda, woulda, couldas..... all the leaps you didn’t take.... all the adventures you never embarked on. How you aren’t a good enough mom... are you really raising them right? Your marriage isn’t perfect and you know you both have changed so much since kids....do you even like each other anymore? Your job- is it your passion? Why aren’t you succeeding better- harder- more??? And the lies spiral out of control.... until you can’t see or hear or feel anything except the ONE recurring thought of “I AM NOT ENOUGH.” But wait..... I said LIES. All LIES. Lies formed when we were little girls or tweens or teens or from our parents or an old lover or a dickhead boss. And every single time we were left out of something or abandoned or made to feel less than - the lies would get bigger and stronger... to where the distinguishing factor of what was truth and what was a lie completely vanished. I may not know you, but I just want to say that if any of that rings true for you - any part- that I am sending you the biggest, tightest hug. And in case no one told you today- You’re freaking awesome. ❤️ Oh and that woman you saw earlier- she actually had forgotten deodorant that morning. 😉
